Dog Adoption Fees

Adoption fees are $400 for an adult dog. This fee includes all of the dog’s vetting. Your new companion will have all of their vaccinations up to date (including Rabies) as well as being microchipped and spayed or neutered. GreenDog Foundation goes a little further on caring for their rescues in that we also take care of any other medical issues they may have. If there are tumors, they are removed and biopsied; if there is a hernia, it is repaired; if the dog needs a dental, a full anesthetic dental is performed.

Puppies that are either ‘born’ into the rescue or brought into the rescue under the age of 8 weeks are adopted out at $500. Puppies are a bit more because they require additional vetting. Puppies will go through a series of 4 vaccinations, fecal testings (dewormings) prior to their microchipping and spaying or neutering. Puppies under 6 months of age are adopted out on a “foster-to-adopt” basis. The puppy will continue to be seen at our veterinarian offices according to their vaccination schedule and when the puppy is between 4 and 6 months of age (depending on their size), their spay or neuter will be performed.

We also do full senior blood panels on all seniors to make sure there is no underlying issue we may not be aware of. We do not want to adopt a medical dog out to someone without the adopter knowing full well what they are getting into. All medical notes and receipts are provided along with the adoption.
